I think that Jack made a bad choice because even though Julian was being mean about Auggie,Julian said words, he did not hurt him. Jack should of said something, not punch him in the mouth.
I think that Jack made neither a good choice and a bad choice. Jack was trying to defend Auggie even though at the moment Auggie was mad at him, Jack could’ve just walked away from Julian without caring. But Jack did do something bad by hitting some one when he could have used his words. But Jack did realize he did something wrong and wants to fix it.
Interesting thinking... SO parts of his choice you support as "good", while other parts you think were "bad". I tend to agree with you. What would you have done if you were Jack?
I know that Jack was upset about what happened and he was trying to stick up for Auggie, but he shouldn't have hit Julian. He should have told Julian that Auggie is a nice boy and he really likes being his friend. He should have told Julian that looks don't matter - what matters is the kind of person you are on the inside.
Jack definitely let his emotions get the best of him. Physically hurting someone is never the answer, but I do think his actions show that's he's mad at Julian and himself for ever going along with Julian, and that he really does care about August.

It is a complicated situation- right? Jack definitely hurt Julian, in the text it said Julian was bleeding and he lost a tooth. We know it’s not okay to hurt someone else. However, he was standing up for his friend. Do you think maybe what he did was a good thing, but not how he did it?
I think he made both a bad choice and a good choice. I think this because it was a good choice to rethink what he had told Julian and who was listening to them talk but,it was a bad choice from Jack to punch Julian in the face instead of just talking to Julian and telling him what he really thought about Julian and about August.
I think that Jack Will made a very cruel choice because he punched Julian in the mouth and he got sent to the Mr.Tushman's office. Maybe next time Jack can nicely ask him to stop criticizing August and not make fun oof him just cause he is partnered up with August for their class project.
I'm not sure "asking nicely" would have stopped Julian. I agree he should use his words, but I think he might have to do so in a strong and brave way. What do you think?

Reason two is that you should not get your emotions messed up like that, to punch someone in the mouth is not okay. Especially when their mouth starts to bleed.
